Velocity Music School is a music tuition service provider. Up until 2010 Velocity Music School has been operating as ‘dan spragg || drum tuition’. We currently operate in 11 schools in the Christchurch area and at our private teaching facility located in the south-west of Christchurch. Currently we are specialising in drum lessons as this is our background but are looking forward to being able to offer tuition in other instruments in the future.
Our aim is to provide you with quality, professional drum lessons in which you develop your talent to the utmost best of your ability. All our teachers follow a central teaching program with scheduled assessments and progress reports to ensure you are on track with your learning. Held in tension with this is our belief that all students will learn at different speeds and with different learning styles.
We cover all the fundamentals of drumming from technique and understanding rhythm to co-ordination and independence. All across a wide range of styles: Rock, Jazz, Latin, Funk and everything in between.
