Tom’s Emporium ( used to be on Riccarton Rd ) has now moved to 484 Cranford St, Papanui.
Val Anderton Adam Joyce Looksharp has different things in it compared to Tom's and while I support local for many years Tom's was the only real variety store of its kind that also catered for those wanting haberdashery at reasonable prices. I go to looksharp in hornby but will also support Tom's, they are a kiwi family business and we need to keep our local family businesses in christchurch going, too many big companies pushing the smaller businesses out. There is room for both and remember you still have the freedom to spend where you want. . No harm in promoting family business.
